Bi-Est Cream
Formulation: Multiple formulations with estradiol and estriol.
Combination of estradiol and estriol in one cream – typically in an 80/20 ratio of estriol to estradiol but sometimes also in 50/50 or a custom ratio.
Description: Bi-Est is short for bi-estrogen cream. This cream contains both estriol and estradiol in one formulation. Because of first-pass metabolism of estrogens, a micronized oral form or transdermal cream form is often used. Estriol is a less potent form of estrogen compared to estradiol, however it has been shown to exert some effects that are different.
Bi-Est cream is usually prescribed for treating menopausal symptoms like hot flashes and other hormone-related changes throughout the body.
