Formulations: Bactroban (Mupirocin) 0.2%, Edetate Disodium (EDTA) 1%, Gentamicin 0.5%, Itraconazole 1% Nasal Spray
Description:
BEG-I nasal spray is compounded formulation that includes bactroban (mupirocin), edetate disodium (EDTA), gentamicin, and itraconazole. This formulation is nearly identical to BEG nasal spray except it also includes the antifungal intraconazole. Typical BEG nasal spray includes two antibiotics and a chelating agent. Adding an antifungal produces a broader spectrum nasal spray for attacking multiple aspects of an infection.
