Topical 12.5 Gel
Formulation: Lidocaine 12.5%, Tetracaine 12.5%
Strong topical anesthetic for a variety of dental procedures.
Description: This gel is used as a pre-injection topical anesthetic for soft tissue and palatal procedures and for a variety of other oral procedures.
Often used before laser procedures, gingivoplasty and implant exposures, this topical is a combination of two effective anesthetics: lidocaine and tetracaine. It may be used as an alternative to local anesthetic injectable solutions for some procedures.
Topical 12.5 contains lidocaine 12.5% and tetracaine 12.5%. The combination of anesthetic ingredients in these concentrations is not available from any dental supplier. A compounding pharmacy is able to make these types of formulations that are not otherwise commercially available.
