Hydroquinone Face Pads
Formulations: Hydroquinone 6%, Kojic Acid 4% Face Pads
Description: These hydroquinone face pads are used to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation, melasma, age spots, and other areas of discoloration.
Ingredients:
Hydroquinone: This is the gold standard skin lightening ingredient. Formerly it was available over-the-counter in numerous skincare products. However its OTC designation was removed by the FDA and it is now only available with a prescription. Most formulations of hydroquinone must be made by a compounding pharmacy.
Kojic Acid: Another effective lightening ingredient that is derived from fungi. It is actually a byproduct of fermentation from the manufacture of drinks like sake. It has been shown to be effective at treating skin conditions like melasma.
